2020 MAZDA CX-8 Review, Prices and Specs

Overview
The 2020 Mazda CX-8 is based closely on the smaller CX-5, stretched to fit in an additional row of seats. But the finished product is much more than a CX-5 “L”, receiving its own unique version of Mazda’s characteristic design language, its own equipment and everything else that goes into an independent model.

Mazda only launched the CX-8 a couple of years ago, so the revisions implemented here are quite modest in scope. Buyers (in countries where it is sold) can now specify front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive with the naturally aspirated or turbocharged versions of the Mazda 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine or with the 2.2-liter Skyactiv-D diesel.

The AWD models also obtain a new Off-Road Traction Assist system, the interior fit has been updated (in the available configurations of six or seven passengers), the infotainment screen has increased from seven inches to eight, there is a new roof option Sliding and the equipment has been reviewed at different levels of finishing. That is the long and short of it, but then Mazda did not need to do much with a still relatively fresh model in the market and was named Car of the Year by the Japan Auto Hall of Fame. Order books open at the end of next month.

Interior, Comfort and Cargo
The new 2020 Mazda CX-8 was meant to be shared. That is why our redesigned Elite cabin is designed to be both cozy and peaceful. Each wheel we offer is designed to help you express your character and create a greater bond between you and your Mazda. The 19-inch wheels with standard Bright Silver finish in the Elite fit provide shine to the already eye-catching Mazda CX-8. Even with its elegant low ceiling, this impressive full-size SUV still offers more volume and more room for second and third-row legs than some competitors. Accessing the third row is simple, which makes it easier for children to get on, all without removing an installed child seat.

Engine, Transmission and Performance
Another way in which the Mazda CX-8 elevates the driving experience is by underlying the noise of the road, the wind and the engine. We added 53 pounds of sound attenuation material, we used sound insulating glass and installed a better seal insulation than in the previous generation. All this makes the 2020 Mazda CX-8 remarkably quiet, ensuring that your driving time is of minimum tension and maximum enjoyment.

Mazda CX-8 is carefully designed to give you a lot of torque at lower RPM, where you spend most of your driving time. G-Vectoring Control Plus is an innovative technology that helps you steer more accurately by optimizing load control. It is a highly efficient vehicle movement control system that works in the background during driving in Érito. They focus on responsiveness and driving enjoyment. Our 3-row SUV is no exception. Designed from scratch with Skyactiv-G® Technology, the new Mazda CX-8 stands out from the competition with exceptional driving dynamics.
