2020 FERARI 812 Superfast is an example of what happens when car makers commit to making vehicles that offer the best performance that money can buy. With nearly 800 horsepower under the hood, this coupe provides facilitating a zero to 60 mph sprint that takes less than three seconds, brutal power . There’s also some practicality at stake, as the 812 Superfast offers more cargo space than the typical supercar, enough to make it a reasonably accommodating option for commutes. Fuel economy is poor, and the $ 330,000 price of the 812 Superfast makes it accessible only to the very privileged few. Still, if you have deep pockets and a thirst for spectacular handling, this skillful Ferrari won’t disappoint.
The Ferari 812 Superfast is transferred for the 2020 model year without major changes.
Coupe: $ 338,000
Interior, Comfort and Cargo
The 812 Superfast offers seating for two. It is common for supercars to be clogged with a narrow cabin, but that is not the case with this Ferrari. Its interior offers reasonably spacious accommodation, good ergonomics and a modern design. There’s also more cargo space than is typically found with high-performance sports cars. The Ferrari 812 Superfast provides 18 cubic feet of cargo volume, and this gives you enough room to properly accommodate your belongings during daily driving, and perhaps even on a road trip, if you pack wisely.
Infotainment and connectivity
All 2020 Ferari 812 Superfast coupes are equipped with a six-speaker sound system. An integrated navigation system with a voice activation function is standard along with the Bluetooth phone and music streaming. Apple CarPlay capability is offered, but Android Auto is not available.
Engine, Transmission and Performance
Ferrari’s 812 Superfast gets its muscle from a 6.5-liter V-12 powerplant, and this engine delivers 788 horsepower and 529 pound-feet of torque. A 7 (seven) speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The 812 Superfast has a place among the fastest of the rapids. In our follow-up tests, we sprinted from zero to 60 mph in a scant 2.8 seconds. It’s a stunning performance, but it follows that of the McLaren 720S. That car made the race in just 2.7 seconds. The handling is nimble, especially considering the relatively strong mass weight of this Ferrari. The note of the engine is miphactic, and the car’s brakes are powerful enough to bring this beast to a fast and decisive deadlock.
Fuel economy and real-world MPG
The price paid for the exciting performance of the 812 Superfast is a daunting fuel economy. The 2020 Ferrari 812 Superfast chugs fuel at the 12/16 city / highway mpg rate. With mileage of up to 13/18 mpg, rival Lamborghini Huracán performs slightly better when it comes to fuel efficiency. In our time with the 812 Superfast, we see 11 mpg mileage overall.
Driver Assistance and Safety Features
The Ferrari 812 Superfast 2020 has not received an overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The average supercar is light on driver assistance features, and the 812 Superfast is no exception. Amenities such as a blind spot warning and frontal collision mitigation system are not offered. Key security features include:
> Standard backup camera
> Standard front and rear parking sensors
Warranty and maintenance coverage
Ferrari limited and powertrain warranties match the coverage provided by Lamborghini. However, Ferrari stands out for offering seven years of free scheduled maintenance. Lamborghini does not provide free scheduled maintenance for its vehicles.
> The limited warranty covers 3 (three) years or unlimited miles.
> Powertrain warranty covers 3 (three) years or unlimited miles.
> Free scheduled maintenance covers 7 years or unlimited miles.
