2020 BUGATTI CHIRON Review, Prices and Specs

For the higher heels among us, the average supercar may not meet our needs. If the six-figure transport isn’t exclusive enough for your tastes, there’s the 2020 Bugatti Chiron. Chiron costs almost $ 3 million, and is as exotic as hypercars. With fluid curves and frequent aird headlights, this coupe’s exterior design communicates power and performance, and its standard 1500 hp engine gives it acceleration capabilities worthy of a bullet train. The Chiron cabin is luxurious, but storage space is minimal, and amenities such as driver-assist technology and an infotainment display are lacking. While this Bugatti may not be the most accommodating choice for something as mundane as a commute, it stands out as a head-turning lust object and an all-round performance machine.

Bugatti adds a couple of new variants to the Chiron line for the 2020 model year. The Chiron Sport 110 Ans Edition is based on the Chiron Sport, and was created to pay tribute to the brand’s 110th anniversary. It features a two-tone exterior color scheme and accents that employ the tricolor French flag. Only 20 of these very special models will be built. Bugatti also welcomes the Super Sport 300+ to the Chiron list, and only 30 of them will be offered to the public. The 2020 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ has almost the same specs as the car that set a world record by reaching a speed of 304,773 mph on the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany, and is powered by a 1,578-hp engine. A driving-focused model named Pur Sport will join the lineup in the second half of 2020.

Interior, Comfort and Cargo
The exterior of the Chiron features a C-shaped design cue carved into its side panels, and this element is also present inside the car’s cabin. It is reflected in the elegant curve of a partition that separates the driver and passenger. Bugatti has dressed the Chiron cabin with top-of-the-line materials, and the interior carries space-age styling elements that add whimsical charm. A flat-bottom steering wheel greets the driver, and Bugatti claims the shiny center console is made from a single piece of solid aluminum. With Chiron, it is best to pack the light. The boot provides just two cubic feet of cargo space.

Infotainment and connectivity
Chiron’s singular focus on performance brings with it compromises on the infotainment front. This Bugatti works like a race car, and has the stripped technical content to match. There is no infotainment display and features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered. The infotainment amenities of the car are virtually limited to a sound system and a travel computer. On the plus side, the sound system offers impeccable sound quality, and features four tweeters each using a quiat diamond membrane for precision output. That is what you can expect from a car with a price that starts in millions.

Engine, Transmission and Performance
The Chiron, Chiron Sports and Chiron Super Sport 300+ are motivated by an 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder power plant. This one-engine beast employs four turbochargers to generate a powerful power of 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. Bugatti claims that Chiron does the dash from zero to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 261 mph. If the standard Chiron engine doesn’t quench your thirst for speed, hop on the Quiron Super Sport 300+. This model is equipped with a slightly more powerful version of the base powerplant, and produces 1,578 horsepower. Driven by factory test pilot Andy Wallace, a model with specs almost identical to those of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ posted a record 304,773 mph when pushed by Bugatti on the track. With all models in the Chiron line, power is delivered to all four wheels using a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Driver Assistance and Safety Features
The 2020 Bugatti Chiron has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It is not offered with commonly available driver assistance features such as blind spot monitoring.

Warranty and maintenance coverage
Bugatti offers a four-year warranty on all Chiron models and covers vehicle maintenance for the same period of time. The limited warranty covers 4 years. The powertrain warranty covers 4 years. Free scheduled maintenance for 4 years.
